Cardhu is a Speyside distillery near Archiestown, Moray, Scotland, founded in 1824 by whiskey smuggler John Cumming and his wife Helen. It has a golden honey appearance, full and full-bodied, with hints of pear, heather and nuts. Attractive and intriguing. With a little water - still harmonious but less pronounced, it reveals some cereal malt, smooth wood, spice and faint traces of smoke.
